Front Tourer Conversion


A popular conversion on the VW, we can be quite flexible on the design of this conversion and we have previously created several variants depending to  customer's requirements.  The conversion is similar to the Side Tourer in terms of  specification. Again it is designed to offer full camper facilities without imposing on the vehicle's space. We have added plenty of storage space, including a large underseat tray on bearing runners  The advantage of this conversion is that it has a full width Rock and Roll bed – 5 wide by 6 feet long.  If required the the hob controls may face towards the sliding door so it is possible to use the conversion from in side and outside the vehicle. If you have a two seater in the front then we will build the conversion so you can still access the rear from the cab.  If you have a three seater then you can opt for additional storage space instead.

Fridge – 38l Danfoss BD35F 12v compressor, offering long term efficient cooling
Sink  – Stainless steel smev sink
Hob and grill – Stainless steel Smev twin hob and grill and 904 gas regulator.
Water – 20 litres of fresh water
12v Micro-switched tap with in-line submersible pump
Electric hook-up with flush external inlet. Built in RCD with twin sockets
12v power outlet
12v overhead lighting – low power LED light mounted above cooking unit
15m connection cable.
Zig Power distribution unit -  Offering 240 to 12v power inversion, split relay alternator charging and 240v mains charging, three fused power outlets and battery condition monitor.
12mm hard flooring with silver grey vinyl covering.
Food storage cupboards with push button lockers

If this conversion is being fitted into a panel van prices may vary according to the starting point of the conversion work. For example, if you vehicle has no windows or lining then extra costs will be about £1200 inc vat for two bonded fixed windows, ply-lining, insulation and wall and ceiling carpeting throughout.
